Anyone been into or still into Go Karting I been looking into it and really fancy getting into the easykart series. £2300 for a brand new kart although you can pick up a mint second hand one fot £1700 from the manufacturers and running costs are about £1500 for a full season looks like so much fun

Think my weight will not help me much though even though there is an over 85Kilo weight class!!

Havent done any competitive karting since the 90s so it may have changed but back in the day although the racing was fun the atmosphere was rubbish! I came from racing bikes where anybody (even your championship rivals!) would do anything they could to help you out! Karting was full of wannabe F1 drivers who would go out of their way to either tell you lies or have you off the track! There was zero social life with it and the only people who would ever attend a prize giving were the ones that had won and their entourage! I was glad to get out of it to be honest! A certain Mr J Button won the Rye House Junior winter series that year! He was about 10 lol!
