Ipod Has Frozen

Iam useing the ipod in the ST and it has now frozen it was set to shuffle but won't play in the car and will not play in the house in the docking station any help would be appresiated as it is the wifes

Press and hold the 'menu and center' buttons at the same time , cant remember what it does next but it has always worked for me

Reset it. Pretty much as said, hold the menu + centre at the same time whilst 'toggling' the hold button......wiggle it back + forth half a dozen or so times. An Apple icon will eventually appear and then it will set itself back to normal.
