Hi peeps!

Hope you’re all well in this crazy world.
I’ve had my Blue Mk2 Focus ST nearly two years now and boy has it had some ups and downs.

This is the story and what I need help with.

When I first bought the car, I replaced the discs and pads and gave it a service. Quickly realised I had bought a car with a stage 1 on it. I replaced the driveshafts with those eBay ‘upgrade’ ones and everything seems be good.

The engine then blows.

I buy a new one and plan to stage 3 it. BD performance comes back and tells me the new engine is ****ed.

I rebuild the engine with a stage 2 intercooler and Mongoose turbo back exhaust with Airtec downpipe and decat (LOVELY🌚🌝).

I replaced the springs with eibach lowering ones and shocks with Bilstein B8 for fast road and light track use. (We’ll plan too)
I also replaced the left side knuckle hub arm which snapped completely in half…

So now I need help, the car is making and crashing loud noises and squeezes when the car is shaken.

WHAT IS THAT SOUND!?
Do I need to do the bushes as well or something badly wrong?

This is the sound in question which it also makes while driving over bumps…MK 2 Focus ST problems
Given the age of Mk2's now I would say the vast majority - if not all - of your underbody & suspension compliance & mounting bushes etc are either very badly worn if not completely shot. Hence why so many people on here have threads about them dropping the subframes & refurbing them all!
To be honest I would get the car up in the air on a ramp & go over all your rubber mounts etc underneath. You will likely find a lot need replacing! You can either go OEM, or a harder mount like Hardrace (recommended) or polyurethane. I would caution about poly bushing too much though as it can make the car very stiff and it then might squeak even more!!
p.s. don't forget your suspension top mounts as well when you are checking things out.

Thank you bro, appreciate the honesty. How much is it roughly to do all the mounts?
It can all depend on what bush type you want. Best bet would be to drop a line to our club guru & supplier of all these sorts of things - Andy at A&K Motorsports. He would be best placed to say what would be best & what the club prices for that would be.

I did every single one on mine in hardrace , didn’t calculate the cost tbh but I do remember in most cases the hardrace were cheaper than the Ford replacements
