So I have just installed my bov vavle and was wondering if it going off every time I go over 2000 revs is normal? I haven't played with the spring yet as I don't know much about it all.

Yes.

A BOV (Blow Off Valve) releases excess boost into the atmosphere, so as your car is starting to boost at approx 1800-2000rpm it will vent off the boost as you change gear.

You should have bought a recirc valve if you didn't want the council estate 'pshhhhhht' each time the clutch is pressed.

It's one of them ones that you can close and it is pretty much a recirc valve aswel. Take it you aren't a fan of them then lol. If I got it remaped wouldn't it push the boost to a higher rev?

Remap will alter the boost, usually lower down so you gain more power across the rev range.

No, I'm not a fan. I think they scream 'look at me' as you whizz past in a 4 cyl petrol. But each to their own.
