that's good, I'm getting that on my diesel currently.I have managed 42mpg driving like I had miss daisy in the back..
Reasonably mild driving gets 35mpg on motorway but just keeping with the flow gets 31 to 33 so why bother

I do Kingskerswell to Exeter city centre every day (about 24 miles total, 19 on dual track) and i have managed 32mpg whilst driving Miss Daisy... (its on 30.5mpg at present)Just read through a few of these posts and now think my car has issues. I live in Devon so drive country lanes and have a mountune 275 kit but I average 16.8mpg. Admittedly I work about 3 miles away from work so do pretty short journeys everyday but still mine seems about half what everyone else seems to be getting I do also drive it how an ST should be driven so that probably doesn't help.
But then you have got an STD.......................49.4 mpg in my diesel over 600 miles since Friday.
Have Ford added a higher trim spec to their ST range?Interested in 'real world' consumption as looking to buy an ST4
isn't the ST4 also known as an RS?Have Ford added a higher trim spec to their ST range?![]()
Yes, my build sheet for my 2009 RS had ST4 variant stated on it.isn't the ST4 also known as an RS?
Must have got it from Bristol Street Motors Ford in Stoke-on-Trent.Yes, my build sheet for my 2009 RS had ST4 variant stated on it.

I was actually attempting to be witty with my post.....in that ST4 is the postcode of Bristol Street Motors Ford in Stoke-on-Trent. :grin:Kind off....Evans Halshaw -Bedford - to quote their vista print from 9th March 2009 - Focus, 2009.5my, new 3 door, RS Derivative selected, 2.5 L DOHC 280 PS ST4, 6sp Manual, frozen white , RS Blue Fabric & Lux pack2, B/T & USB...... I would think it's Ford's early internal code for the 2009 RS as mine was one of the first batch of mk2 RS's to hit the uk - makes sense as the RS is just a further development of the ST3 Focus....I was actually attempting to be witty with my post.....in that ST4 is the postcode of Bristol Street Motors Ford in Stoke-on-Trent.
Very curious though.....because I have never heard of any Focus RS officially being referred to as an ST4, and have not been able to find anything online to support it.
Maybe the ST4 quotation on your paperwork has nothing to do with ST as we know it?
I think the economy of the mk7 Fiesta is pretty similar to the mk8. My Mk8 Fiesta does about 33% better MPG than my Focus did, at least in my usual driving. So I averaged 29 MPG on a Mk3.5 Focus ST and average 39 MPG in the Fiesta on the same journeys.hi, new member here...
i presently own a 2017 Fiesta ST-2 5 Door but have always wanted the Focus variant, not keen on the new version that has just come out as it looks boring so considering getting a 2018 ST-3 in the MK3.
Its a silly question but I use my car every day, with the Fiesta doing 95% city driving with the odd out of town drive I can get around 3 weeks out of a single full tank, I know jumping to a 2ltr there will be an obvious jump and change but just looking for some advice really as Fuel costs is probably the biggest concern on my mind at the moment as id be worried that I wouldnt even get 7-10 days out of a tank!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but ST4 means Euro STage 4.
