that's good, I'm getting that on my diesel currently.
I know we don't own the ST for the MPG BUT...

I do Kingskerswell to Exeter city centre every day (about 24 miles total, 19 on dual track) and i have managed 32mpg whilst driving Miss Daisy... (its on 30.5mpg at present)
When i picked mine up it had done 3500 miles from new and the trip meter had never been reset and was showing 19mpg over the total milage and it was all town driving for a lady driver
Has anyone got any figures that show the difference in mpg when fitting the various Mountune bits? I'm keen to up the bhp a little but wouldnt want to suffer with any significant drop in mpg (i had a hard enough time convincing the wife of a drop from 45mpg on the last car to this one which i promised her i would get 35mpg out of

I always have a bit of a laugh reading these types of threads as my last ST - albeit an ST24 - used to get about 6 or 7 mpg on it's worse runs.
However it was running a lot of Jaguar & SVT parts................................plus a big bottle of this in the boot.

My current car probably averages about mid 20's but I don't really care much about it. When it gets low I top it up & I drive it how I want to drive it.
If I wanted my car to do 40+mpg I'd have bought a 1litre Corsa..............
However it was running a lot of Jaguar & SVT parts................................plus a big bottle of this in the boot.

Interested in 'real world' consumption as looking to buy an ST4 - when they finally appear. Any clues as to how the auto box will affect mpg? (I'm getting to the age where auto could be good ).
Currently running a diesel Kuga (remapped to about 200bhp) and the best I've seen on that is only 41mpg. Normally around 37/38.
If I want to play I'll take the TVR (Griffith 500 with 320bhp) out but still average 20-21 in that!!

Yes, my build sheet for my 2009 RS had ST4 variant stated on it.
Must have got it from Bristol Street Motors Ford in Stoke-on-Trent.

Very curious though.....because I have never heard of any Focus RS officially being referred to as an ST4, and have not been able to find anything online to support it.
Maybe the ST4 quotation on your paperwork has nothing to do with ST as we know it?
I would think it's Ford's early internal code for the 2009 RS as mine was one of the first batch of mk2 RS's to hit the uk - makes sense as the RS is just a further development of the ST3 Focus....

i presently own a 2017 Fiesta ST-2 5 Door but have always wanted the Focus variant, not keen on the new version that has just come out as it looks boring so considering getting a 2018 ST-3 in the MK3.
Its a silly question but I use my car every day, with the Fiesta doing 95% city driving with the odd out of town drive I can get around 3 weeks out of a single full tank, I know jumping to a 2ltr there will be an obvious jump and change but just looking for some advice really as Fuel costs is probably the biggest concern on my mind at the moment as id be worried that I wouldnt even get 7-10 days out of a tank!

I think the economy of the mk7 Fiesta is pretty similar to the mk8. My Mk8 Fiesta does about 33% better MPG than my Focus did, at least in my usual driving. So I averaged 29 MPG on a Mk3.5 Focus ST and average 39 MPG in the Fiesta on the same journeys.
