Looking through the Members Cars section, I don't think I saw any pictures of five doors, are they really quite uncommon? Buying a five door at 23 makes me feel like an old man, but needs must etc.

I have one - although no pics on here except the one in the footer

I personally love the look of the 5 door - but that might be a subconcious thing as I have no choice really

With decals they look great - been tryng to settle on some for at least 6 months but never seem to get around to finally deciding on what type!

I bought my 5 door when I was 22.

The only reason for this is that when I had a 3 door Zetec, people used to scuff the trim and seats when climbing in the back and I usually cart people around all the time.

My mates and GF used to have a laugh but since then my mates have gone and bought SEAT Cupra R's which are 5 doors

Doesn't look too bad in 5 door form does it

Easier access to rear seats etc. Also, not being particularly tall, seat not too far back on runners, makes it easier to "grab" seat belt from the centre pillar. Opening of smaller front doors give easier in and out access when parked between other cars.
Hoping to go to DMB in Bromsgrove soon. Fancy side stripes - Silver fading to clear.

I have a 5 door which I purchased at 23, does that make me an old lady?
, I did want a 3 door however it was the only white ST-3 available through Ford Direct at the time and me having a female 'I want it now' moment it was a 5 door I bought
TBH it's a lot easier trying to cram mates/family members into the back and it's quite interesting the number of people that don't notice the 2 extra doors due to the chequers

+1 on the 5 door, I was only 20 when I got mine (Youngest still I belive at 21), was only due to it being £2.5k cheaper than a 3 door new.
I looked at it one way, which was it was another £2.5K I could spend on mods.
And yes I do feel old some times in a five door, but hey the car goes like stink so who cares.

Sean as for decals, I'm not sure 2 what looks good on the PB 5 doors, may get the graduated checks but I want to get it right first time as its £200 for a full set fitted from Profile.

I've always thought the Focus model was one of those rare cars that looked good with five doors. I had a three door Astra then a five door Focus before i got my three door ST. If I had more practical concerns then I wouldn't be bothered having a five door but prefer the three door for obvious reasons plus its two less door frames to clean!!
