Mk 1 Escort 1300 GT with the 6 clock dash & 'bunch of bananas' manifold, or (if you were lucky enough) a Mexico in Le Mans Green, that was a proper colour. Ultimate Green for the Mk 2 RS was a winner too. Prior to the 80's any self respecting boy racer had to have 'Carlos Fandango' 13" Rostyle wheels, which were considered 'big' (it's obviously a bloke thing, we think 6" is big too 馃ぃ) and an 8 Track tape player, a whippy 6' fibreglass aerial, plus a 'La Cucaracha' air horn. That was 'doing it' chav style, before chavs had been invented. Sorry to say I may have been (possibly still am) one. Oh well, 2030 is fast approaching, and the all electric future beckons (how I lament the demise of the ICE). I've got my pipe & slippers on stand-by. Time for a Cocoa and I'm off to bed.

Isn鈥檛 orange fury a solid colour, not metallic or Pearl, like ts, also the edition, is that a solid non metallic colour too?
Yeah I'm sure you are right. I'm no expert on the colours.

I was always a metallic paint man but like the Ford solid colours. The white on my Mk3 is such a bright white colour and shines up really well. Makes many other car makes whites look quite dull in contrast.
Likewise the Azure blue is a deep bright colour. Deep Impact Blue was nice but I found my paint layer looked very thin.
