Well the tale of my ST is long these days, seem to be problem after problem just now. Newest one is the heated screen. Only the passenger side is clearing and the drivers needs done by hand, not too good on a
cold morning.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Cheers

Mine has stopped working on part of the screen, if you remove the wipers and scuttle panel you will see the foil connectors, one each side. Check they are conected.
One of mine has some corrosion so i guess its broke contact, but its part of the screen. So can't be repaired. I will be getting a massive stone chip very soon.

Just a thought!

my mum had an H reg Escort with the same issue nack in the 90's (before i wrote it offf) and it was a fuse that was the issue so they used to have 2 fuses so may well still be the case

Mine only works on one side too. Took the cover off under the windscreen and have found that one of my ribbons are broken!

There are two running up to the windscreen if you werent aware. I need a new windscreen to fix this, although car is still under warranty maybe worth a try

This should be a warranty job

One of the ribbons on mine is corroded so only part of the drivers side works.
Must get round to getting a BIG stone chip.

that would be good excuse!

Have managed without it but with the cold weather I am missing it! Spend a fiver running the car in the drive or get out and scrape the windscreen

i cant get mine done under warranty because its an autoglass screen, and autoglass fitted it incorrectly. the drivers tab is supposed to go under the wiper mech, but they fitted it over the mech, so when i put wipers on it broke it off the screen

and its got no autoglass warranty as it was done for the previous owner, so this weekend it shall be getting a meeting with mr center punch lol
