I have done this for a mate and its pretty straight forward 3 door seat will go into a 5dr but not the other way around

You will need to get the rear seat belt buckles as they are different as the rear bench on the ST3 is only a 2 seater and as you say everything is just plug and play as the connection for the heated seats are behind the panel so you just need the switches and your good to go

 

I probably wouldnt want to put a 3door seat in to a 5 door though - thats just me. I havnt looked into the rear bench yet but i believe its just a case of swapping the seat belt out and putting a double in there. Not sure about the actual belt though.

Where did you source the seats from and how expensive was they?

The only difference with putting a set of 3dr front seats into a 5dr is that the seat back will tilt forward no great problem but it does make it easier to clean the carpets in the rear lol

To be fair, if you are going for the set and it's a 5 door car it's going into, you'll want the right door cards as well, unless you get something like Tezza's link and manage to get the rear door cards seperate and sell the other rear quarter cards on. Too much faffing around for my liking, though lol

Its faffing, yes. But after a ew months of searching, there seems to be decent ST2 specs but all the ST3s are well over priced and miles away.

Ive seen someone do it before and you wouldnt know the difference.

Just trying to weigh up options. I guess not alot of people tend to do it.
