Greetings and salutations

Im from a city about 2 hours drive of NZ's capital Wellington.
Currently driving an 03 Panther Black ST170 with 50,000k's
Have been offered a good deal to move up to a 06 Blue St1 with 31,500k's for what works out to be a big mac combo a week.

Everything is telling me yes except that little voice which i hope to silence after a decent test drive later this week (so far only been behind the wheel for 40 minutes of which 90% of that was in town driving.

I welcome any input from people who have made the change or those who have the 06ST and can advise me things to look out for.

Wasn't 100% certain and was wanting to be corrected (ST2 sounds better than ST1)

Hello Webby, once you drive one you will want it, its in another league to the

170, the st1 doesn't have esp or xennon lights and comes with a cheeper stereo.

Just got back from a 60 odd kilometre drive, loved it. even a sedate 80/100km is lovely and knowing that there is all that ooompff under my right foot.

Stereo is way better, love the noise as ya lift off the gas, from the apparently upgraded exhaust.

No major issues except the passengers side headlight washer cover appears to be stuck down, there is no locknut, the fob needs a new battery and the one im deffinatley gonna push them to do as a final "we want to get you in this car" replace the front tyres which are about 1.5mm from the little bumps in the tread.
Back tyres are like new.

good chance to wear the current ones out

Currently its around $1.76 per litre for 95

thats about 2 and a half pound a litre

Got a $60 fuel card from work for working weekends so that will go a long way to a tank.

Not so worried about fuel, in 2 and a bit years with the 170 i only put less than 14000ks on it

NZ aint the biggest country in the world
