Hi all,

Havent even got my ST yet and I'm already planning out my mods

Just wondering where there is reputable place to get my rear windows tinted in the Cardiff area? Not sure of anywhere at the moment, but want a proper quality job though where I can choose the level of tint as well.

As soon as I get my ST and ive done my first few little mods, I will be at a meet with you all to say hello!

After some long searching through the thousands of topics here
found that tintedvision and Newport Autotint seem to have had the best reviews.

I will try one of them!

Now just need to find out the best place to get the little bulbs that go in the footwells, as well as finding out whether it is possible to get the ipod connector fitted after factory? The one that ford advertises. Anyone know if they can and for how much roughly?

Any other little mods people recommend that may be good to do as a starting point. Getting my ST just after the new year, with the Mountune Kit on ready the day I pick it up hopefully!

Hi Dan, next mod has to be the eibach lowering springs. They totally transform the handling of the ST without compromising the ride too. They also make the car look the dogs b****cks too!

Take a look at the pinned thread I started. We secured focus STOC discount with Roadrunner Motor Spares in Churchvillage. Well worth giving them a call for a price (don't forget to mention the focus STOC discount when you call).

Also, there's a breakfast meet being organised for the 9th of January and also a meet being organised by the South West region on the 21st of February. If you have taken delivery of your ST by the 9th, why not pop along to meet some of us?

Hope your Mountune conversion gets fitted before you pick it up. What colour did you go for, and are you having the 2010 black wheels or the silver colour wheels?

See you soon?

Cheers Dave, theyre the ones I'm prob gunna use! Gunna try and get the mrs to pay for though as its my bday near then

Looking forward to the first meet up actually - used to belong to corsa-c forum and used to go their meets.

Just got to hope nothing goes wrong between now and then with the focus!
No surprises you know. Been quoted £1380 for the mountune upgrade but not sure if that includes the exhaust as well. I dont plan to pick up the car until it has the kit on it, as thats how i test drove the other one, and thats how i want mine to drive out of the garage as.

Ian - the eibach springs, are they the ford ones? How much am i looking at from the chaps from Church Village? Never lowered any of my cars so could be an experience, prob wanna have a ride in one with them before i get it done.

The salesman isnt giving me an estimated date at the mo
but he has mentioned the 8th twice, so I'm hoping for it then, but even so, it will then be a day or two until the tax and kit is on unfortunately. So unless there's a miricle and it arrives before then, I doubt I'll make the meet
and the 21st Feb I'll be getting back from holiday then I think. God damn it

Will try my best though. Any other simple mods that can make the difference? I'm liking the wind deflectors, but not sure how'll they'll look without the front windows tinted. Also heard people have the
badge on the grill?

Hi Dan, I'd hope that the Mountune conversion comes with the cat-back exhaust (but I don't think so). I priced the cat-back exhaust yesterday and it was £435 including vat, but the fitting is about another £50 on top. Here's the link to the Mountune on-line store: http://www.mountunestore.com/Browse/Mountu...rmance/Focus-ST

Here also is a link to the Mountune 260 website: http://www.mountuneperformance.co.uk/index...9&Itemid=71
It looks like the exhaust is additional to the 260 bhp conversion.

I settled for a Mongoose cat-back from one of our sponsors in the end (PDUK) for a FSTOC discounted £281.25. It'll be delivered in the next few days, then I'll have it fitted before the 9th.

Regarding the eibach lowering springs, yes they are the ones that are Ford approved. I got mine from Roadrunner Motor Spares in Church Village in August last year for £215 fitted (a saving of £30 on the normal price). Not sure what the price is now though, but well worth the money.

I'd give the garage a call to ask about the Mountune exhaust. Maybe they could do you a good deal?

What colour is your car? I'll keep an eye out for you on my travels.

Hope to see you soon out on the roads.

Hey mate,

Yeah spoke to Fordthorne on Penarth Road just now and the other master tech there (not the one that gave me the price) said that the kit was without the exhaust
gutted now really am. However, I mentioned to him what mountune recommend the price to be (£1096 i believe) and he said that even he is surprised that I was quoted that, maybe the other master tech has done me a good deal anyway? He's not back in till the fourth though so I'll have to speak to him then.

I've got one in Electric Blue
so excited, although has been dashed by this potential exhaust issue. Half tempt to just say stuff it and I'll just put the exhaust on my credit card lol
Got an electric blue ST-3 with Bluetooth and rear parking sensors on a 58 plate and 10800 miles. Got it for an absolute steal as well!

Just hope there are no other hiccups now! I hold all the cards for the negociation on the kit anyway, as I told them when I bought the car that I wanted the exact same kit on it as the one i test drove, which had the exhaust, so if they've misquoted me thats their fault! Plus I've got Mountune's recommendation behind me, as well as the fact that second hand sales manager is a mate so he may be able to wangle something I hope! Just feel £1380 is a lot for just the kit though, so I'm really hoping its including both.

Just wish the 8th or just after would
hurry up now!

Ahh wow, John that looks awesome, you take some good pics!

Thats me decided on the old wind deflectors then!

And Kev that would be good mate at some point yeah. Looking at their work on the website and the amount of times they come up when I put them in the search engine, they seem to be a realiable choice, so I prob will use them. Need to get a quote now.

What are people thinking about what I've been quoted for my mountune kit - £1380 - you think thats got to be with the exhaust kit as well or not? Im desperate to know but the master tech who quoted me isnt back in till the 4th

I've never ever felt time drag so much as it recently - just want the
thing to arrive!
