Funny Noise, Then Clicking Brakes.

250 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  ST Bunky
Right folks, this is a weird one.

This has happened twice within 2 weeks.

When i pull away from standstill, theres a grating sound. Then, when i press the brake, there's an electrical clicking noise. 1st time it happened i turned off my engine, re-started then it went. This last time, it went away after a few de-presses of the brake.

Anyone got any clues?

Thanks
John

ABS cutting in? It sounds like the car is falling apart when it does it

I dunno mate, if its the ABS. But, its sort of like a starter motor not fully going through its cycle. Really odd noise. Then the clicking brakes.

If it is ABS, then its scared the
outta me. Twice.

Getting no warning lights come up.

I remember mine in the snow last winter. Horrible scraping and grinding noise and a twanging noise. I was expecting the wheels to fall off and springs to fly out
