Just had my front wheels off to give them a quick clean and noticed that whilst the wheel was there was some movement in the brake disc, is this normal or should it be tight ? The nut in the middle is tight and could not get any more turns on it.

Perfectly normal - the disc is only a loose fit onto the hub, it's secured when you fit your wheel over it so if the wheel is removed then it's often quite easy to waggle it about. If you remove the caliper and it's bracket then the disc will just pull clear unless it's corroded onto the hub.

The nut in the middle only tightens the driveshaft to the hub, it's nothing to do with the brake disc.

If you have been moving the disc about a bit, once you've put everything back together i'd suggest giving the brake pedal a bit of a pump, just in case you've moved the caliper pistons back slightly.
