Sorry if this a repost but i was just on facebook and there is page about the new limited edition ford focus sporty being launched in Beijing by mikko hirvonen. I just thought it was focus with a sport badge but in the photos hirvonen is tearing around with the rear wheels smokin??? Dont know if this was just a mocked up rally car in disguise or genuinely a rear wheel drive focus. Heres a link to a photo on facebook dont know if you will have to be logged in to see it or not.

I wouldve thought if ford had a rwd drivetrain knocking about it wouldve appeared on the RS
I'm guessing its just the dry ice machine filling up the stage at the unveiling!!

It's got small wheels and the red piping in the grill like the golf GTI

Maybe they have released a few rear wheel drive cars so they can be used in things like British Touring csar etc or do they have to be released in this country to be used in BTCC
You can see that the smoke is moving from front to back. Its the front wheels that have been spinning and all the smoke has gathered at the back of the car. You can see by the camera focus on the front wheels that they are moving. If the non driven were moving at that speed, that close to the wall it would of needed to come through the wall!

RWD along with diesel engines are soon to be banned from the BTCC and all cars are going to end up using 2.0 turbo petrol engines
