Morning guys, to follow on from a previous post.
My ST has had its 3rd service and its the most expensive and worst one ive had in my life!
No EVHC or CitNow, so how do I know they took the wheels off, they told and charged me for an air filter they couldn't have fitted as it has an induction kit on it, so another mistake.
The road test was up and down the road next to the branch 3 times so it's probably been an apprentice that's done it as they can't go out of the road and now I'm going to have take out the plugs myself to make sure they were changed aswell.
Absolutely no trust whatsoever just so I can have that Ford stamp for my extended warranty.
Does anyone else have this bother with the garage?

I do trust my dealer.

We have been going there for ten years and my last three cars have come from them plus one of my wife's.

Although my wife's year old Puma was brought from Perry's in Alfreton over 100 miles away, my local dealer was happy to take it on under Ford's manufacturers warranty and we checked this with our dealer before driving to Derbyshire to buy it.

As @alexp999 says there has to be an element of trust, I would have no idea if they had carried out a full service or not.
But as long as it's recorded that the full service has been carried out, that covers your extended warranty.

If you have issues with the work carried out speak to them. Are they legally obliged to show you the parts they have removed. I think you can ask to see these.

the only consistent gripe I have with Ford dealers in Germany is the inevitable 1 litre of screen wash for 5 euros, even though I top it up to overflowing each time. I can afford 5 bucks but it's annoying knowing you've been ripped off. Once I challenged it and they took it off the bill, but usually I forget to check or don't notice until I get home.

Think yourself lucky my 3rd service took 4 weeks:mad: Car developed a misfire after plugs were changed, needed a new coil pack and injector to sort it. Needless to say won’t be using that dealership in the future.

Well got my plugs out tonight, well i stopped at two.
They haven't been changed!
So they tried to charge me for an air filter that wasn't fitted and now no plugs fitted no road test either except up and down the back car park.
Time to contact Customer Service, no wonder Ford are pulling out from them

Why did it take so long to fix a misfire, what was their story for that one?

Availability of replacement coil packs none in the country at that time and when that did not fix it another few days to get a new injector then I was told they had to get technical support from ford UK to get everything to talk to each other.

That's sounds quite far fetched for a branch.
Sounds like the one I used.
I've contacted Customer Services so it's now a waiting game to see what happens next, better be a refund so I can go somewhere else and it can be done properly

This was the same stealer that left the shipping blocks in the springs on my Mk3.5.
Fortunately have found a good local independent Ford specialist who has just replaced the front and rear brakes so will be using them in the future for my services.

Well, got an update from the branch.
They are adamant thevplugs are changed so I sent pics to them this time of the first two I took out
They say these are brand new plugs and they would look like that after a day, which is about 20 miles.
Can I ask everyone's opinion as even the guys at work all agree they haven't been changed

They have no choice in taking on service and warranty work regardless of who supplied the car. I almost never take any of my cars back to supplying dealers for service or warranty work and that’s all makes and never dreamt of asking first. I always get a courtesy car too.
