Hi everyone.

This is just a short re introduction, I'm Dan and I've worked for Adrian Flux Insurance for 24 years.

If any of you on here have any general insurance queries or specific problems with Adrian Flux insurance please let me know. I have handpicked a small but dedicated team of staff who with me will try and assist you wherever possible. I can assure you we will be completely impartial despite being on the payroll of Adrian Flux. If we have messed-up we will acknowledge that and make efforts to get it corrected. If any of you do not understand an insurer's viewpoint we will do our best to clearly explain it.

It could be problems ranging from simple paperwork issues to major claim disputes. With our many years of experience we should be able to answer most queries immediately. If there were issues or a problem that we can't answer directly we would ensure that a relevant manager investigates these and we would then be able to relay an answer back.

I hope this will be of some help for you.

On behalf of myself and my team, thanks very much.

Dan.

Rang today after reading this post and got a refund of nearly £30.00 -not earth shattering but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Got a re-newel due in April 2014 will the above option still be available?

Possible question for Dan. I've just taken out a policy with Adrian flux, and I've been sent a mileage declaration form. It looks like this is pretty strict and I can't go over it or my insurance wouldn't pay out in the event of a claim. Please can you shed some light on this for me as I'm a little confused. All insurers ask about annual mileage, but I've never heard of them asking to sign paperwork stating that the car won't do any more in a Calendar year. It seems a little over the top tbh.

Hi Dan.

After being on the phone for another hour this morning I can honestly say I'm fuming. It turns out that the policy I was on, was a limited mileage policy. I asked for further details and eventually I was told that after 7500 miles, my cover of insurance would drop from fully comprehensive to 3rd party!!! I was not made aware of this at all, and had I not have looked into this off my own back, I would have been none the wiser. A simple google search of "Adrian Flux Mileage Document" throws up horror stories of other people who didn't know about this clause in the terms and conditions. All insurers ask what the annual mileage is, but it's an estimate and not one that you will be penalised for if you were to go over it by decreasing the level of cover. I've managed to get them to up the mileage to 14,000 a year, after I tried to cancel the policy, again an area I was lied to about. When I took it out the girl on the phone said that I can cancel and get a full refund within 14 days. I can specifically remember asking on 2 occasions, "is there a fee for doing this" to which the reply was no. So today when I asked to cancel the policy, less than 36 hours after taking it out I was slapped with a £45 administration fee. I can honestly say that I have been less than impressed with Adrian Flux and the manner in which I was a) sold the insurance product, b) charged £45 when I tried to cancel the policy.

I will send you a PM of my details and please feel free to get in contact with me it would be good to speak to someone else instead of the 2 people I've spoken to already. Mistakes happen and I can accept that, and I hope that things can be put right and i will happily come back on here and inform others that the issues have been rectified.

How do I get an agreed valuation on my car, it's been a while since I did this.

And DAN they didn't quote me based on being a club member? Am I due some penny's back?

Good luck with getting anything back. They lied to me about the cancelation policy so I was stuck with them.

Hi

I can see you did send me a PM but you had already called up, the policy would have been set up to what you agreed over the phone but I cant comment on this without having someone listen to the call back ( I can get this arranged if you wish for this to happen). You were offered a 14 day money back but there is set terms to this and as we advised that if you have has a cheaper rate and we were unable to compete then you would have got the full refund.

Any problem please PM me as I cant really explain anymore about your policy details on the thread.

Regards
