In case it helps anyone, my car has now been with them since January 9th, I got no courtesy car and I get lied to every time I call.

It is just a simple bumper replace, crash member replace and tailgate repair for a tiny dent.

The latest excuse is that the "Glass Man" has just been, but the car won't be drivable today until the Glue Sets.

(The autoglass people I regularly see in the work car park never seem have this problem.)

I'm nearby and have never heard of them. I'd always use Buckingham Ford's bodyshop for repairs as they have top specialists there.

Now I've been told that the "Platinum Polisher" is stuck on the A34 so it won't be today. Not Happy.

I will be fair, and post comments on the quality of the job, good or bad.

Thanks for the Tip - Hopefully there is not a next time :)

In my experience the insurance recommended bodyshops never do a decent job. I think that they probably have a fixed price structure that means that they just do it to the price rather than do it properly. Just one instance is that my son had front end damage and the recommended bodyshop did not paint the inside of the bumper resulting in that when you looked at the wheel arch you could see that the bumper part was a different colour to the reat of the car! When this was pointed out, the manager threw his hands up and said that means that we will have to strip it down again and re-do it - as if this was really unreasonable!!

I would never use an insurance recommended repairer.

:-D

Unless they plan on polishing the inside of the Cat, it sounds like a BS name for a quick shining before they release it.

Got the Car back.

Excellent colour match, well polished & waxed. The boot creaks 1 time in 3 opening (it's really annoying, as I reckon I`ll not be able to reproduce it if I brought it back to them.)

I`ll see if it frees up over the weekend then decide if it needs to go back

Glad you've finally got it back

In future take it to where you want and not a insurance recommended place

I only ever have 1 guy doing any paintwork because I know his work is top notch and have been using him for more than 10 years, he did a full respray on my Subaru and it was flawless gun finish and when flatted a polished it was like glass
