QUOTE(lewis991 @ 14 Nov 2009, 02:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hey,
After having my new GY assymetrics fitted and new freddo (Think thats how its spelt) brake pads as the car was started it came up with "Esp system fault" on the dash. With the engine running the ESP on off button was pushed and the fualt now seems to have disappeared, ESP is working absolutely fine.
I am thinking that I either have:
1) A faulty ESP/ABS sensor
2) It put its self into safe mode to adjust to the new pads and tires???
3) My ABS module is on the way out?
Any one got any ideas? Also where is the ESP/ABS sensor located on a 2006 (06 plate) ST.
Thanks in advnced.
Quite a few people have had ESP issues when they have fitted new tyres. The first thing to check is that all of the tyre pressures are spot on.
Only when that is confirmed, and if it is still causing problems, can you start looking for other reasons
