Firstly, apologies but I haven't been doing my homework since I bought my car so haven't memorised engine/fuel/exhaust schematics!

Also I've only had a limited search for related pics, so apologies again if there's something somewhere that should be easy to find.

Had a quick rummage under the bonnet today and found a pipe totally disconnected! Reconnected it, and it sounds loads more meaty when you floor it.

My question is- what is the pipe, and what exactly does it connect/regulate/etc?

Don't have a pic to hand, but it's the one about 2" diameter directly to the left of the engine. Looks like it comes off some solenoid/valve on the front of the engine and connects it to gubbins at the back. It's only a push-click-fit connection at the front where it was loose, so I was assuming it was just a breather or something.

And I'll keep searching in the meantime

It'll be the Symposer pipe which carries the engine noise to the cabin. It doesn't do anything else so the other improvements will be in your head

Sounds good though doesn't it

PMSL you're f*cking joking!!!

Can't believe that. I was absolutely positive the car felt quicker!!!

Don't be surprised if I edit out all of my post saying that bit...

How embarrassing.

But yes, it sounds awesome....
