Engine Light

275 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  TRICKEY
I have a 07 st which has done 25000 miles it has collins remap, intercooler, ggr cais and full exhaust system. I have had no problems with my car it has been serviced by gary at profile and he put the rs plugs in it until todays journey i had done about 10 miles and the engine light has come on. There seems to be no differance in the running of it but recently prior to the light coming on i have noticed a small single pop from the exhaust when i change gear more at low revs, could this have something to do with it?
I would be grateful of any advice what to do thanks

could just be something random that put the light on, take out the kam fuse for 15 mins and that should clear it, then if it comes back on you know somethings not right and can investigate further

Pulled the fuse and left it for a while, replaced it and no light. Went for a 20 mile drive and still no light but thats not all car runs smoother,no popping from exhaust and it seems to have a new lease of life with alot of response under acceleration. Thanks for the help well chuffed but I might run it up to gary at profile to check the codes before it goes on the rollers.
You should of given us a call - Might just be a ECU 'clitch' or possibly an air leak on the exhaust?

If you bring it up we will check it out for you
