Ds Induction Kit Fitting Help

Hi,

Just ordered the DS Induction kit with the intent of fitting it when I've recovered from this Swine flu

I am reading through the instructions online here

Fine with everything except section 20 where it says "Fit MAF housing and jubilee clip and attach two vacuum pipes to rear of Ind kit, if your car only has one pipe you will need to use the supplied blanking plug (do not tighten until alignment stage)"

Which 2 vacuum pipes are these? I have a K&N Gen II at the moment and I can't remember moving any vacuum pipes?

I think these are the 2 small pipes that connect to the upper induction pipe as you look at the engine just above the cam cover. The DS kit replaces the full ST induction system. You wouldnt have touched this pipe when fitting the k&n

Christ.... that makes fitting a dump valve look like a stroll in the park...
You have balls my friend!

Sure you just arent using the swine flu as an excuse to actually start it all??

Michael - Ah right, It doesnt say anything about disconnecting any vacuum pipes from the standard pipe in the instructions... I had a feeling this would be the case but just wanted to make sure

JayDon - I have already done the hard part when I fitted the K&N. The standard airbox is out and it hurt
It's just a case of taking the top pipe off and putting the new bits on. Shouldn't take me and my brother long to do...

As for using the swine flu as an excuse?
It just means I am home ready for the dhl man to drop it off

One more thing - I don't need to jack the car up do I? As I dont have a jack or ramps...

I didnt have to when fitting the K&N...
erm ideally u need to jack your car up a bit as there is a fixing bracket at the bottom of the pipe where the air filter attatches to behind the fog light so you will need to remove your plastics from underneath to get at it
If you take the passenger side headlight out you can get to the bracket without too much trouble

Should be able to reach it when I take the headlight out though?
