Diffrences In The Models

hi was jus wondering has any1 eles noticed any diffrences with there st to an other 1?i have a 56 plate st2 and my mate has a 06 st2 they both same colour panther black his is a 3door mines is a 5door he has diffrent interior than mine his has leather with 4 seats which i thot only came in a st3 an mines has grey and black cloth and i have digital heaters he dusnt his has the 3 dials the sony cd players are diffrent aswell i have a 6disc and he has a single jus wonderd has anyone eles noticed difrent specs on the same models?

Are you sure that your mate's car is a st2 as i thought that the leather came only with the st3

Sounds like your mate HAS got and ST3 and you have an ST2 with the DEAC (climate control) option fitted. DEAC was not standard even on the ST3. The single disc Sony HU in your mates car is puzzling though. Check the handbooks, should have the exact model written in the back(?) page by the original dealers.

Pretty sure the early pre-facelift ST-2's came with a single disc CD and MP3 compatibility and it was only the ST-3 which got the 6-CD changer. But the 6-CD was also an option for ST1 & ST2 plus in some cases the owner might have done a swap with someone for the 1-CD cos it could play MP3's and the early 6-CD's couldn't.

If you download the latest Focus brochure and look at the spec's/options available for the ST you'll soon see how many ST's will be out there with different interior specs.

I thought leather could be specced for the lower model ST's but then came with a 3 seat rear bench?

Proper complicated the spec combinations are I can tell you.

You'll probably find that your mates is an ST-2 with optional leather seats which shoudl also therefore come with heated seats.
