Anyone who's got an all in one TomTom GPS should install this awesome little open-source software add-on:

It allows you to log position, speed, altitude, direction, waypoints, grid coordinates, ect., as well as opening up the vast ammout of astronomical and other data transmitted by the GPS system but which is essentially redundant on the existing device. Data is stored in GPX and XML format,which you can later plot on Google maps (only works in IE6 and 7).

Very cool way to analyse track performance if you set it not to snap to existing roads and use a high sampling rate. New ver is coming out soon which also looks fantastic.
