As the title suggests, I am based in Peterborough and I have a CP340 software on my focus.
I have a issue on the car of the ESP light coming on and now my engine light being on.
I have taken my car to 2 different garages and both have said they can't/ won't touch it because of the mods.
So what I am asking is where is the nearest place I can take it to get the issue resolved?
Many Thanks Lee

You could give collins a call since its they're map and i'm sure mods. See what they say before doing anything else.

I would possibly recommend getting a fault code reader as well. For a few quid they can save you a lot of time & hassle by being able to read the codes yourself so rather than just going to a garage & saying the car has a generic problem you can at least point them in the right potential direction to start with. Especially with the ESP light as it can cover a multitude of error codes!

This is why it was said to just contact collins  If they would not touch it they telling them a code and problem ain't going to do anything if they refuse to work on it.

It's an old conundrum and one that isn't specific to modifications.
Most non specialist garages have very limited ST knowledge so once you get into any issue that might be considered complex they fall back on guesswork + parts cannon rather than undertake proper fault diagnosis. That can be expensive and easily cause dissatisfaction/bad press so many would prefer to avoid the situation.
The best compromise is doing you own diagnosis and then just telling the garage what to replace but you do of course carry the risk if the outcome you get is not what you expected.
