Considering a slight drop on my MK3 FL and after some recommendations... springs?... springs/shocks?.... full coilovers?

I previously went a bit OTT when I had the mk2 and lowered it 40mm on cobra springs with B8 shocks, although the ride was great it wasn't the most practical setup. Plus having the TRC lowline kit on the mk3 I wouldn't want to go so low I couldn't navigate everyday speed bumps without scrapes. I like the idea of being able to adjust the ride height to get that sweet spot between looks/ride/practicality hence leaning towards coilovers.

I've been looking at the Bilstein B14 kit and wondering what peoples thoughts are and what others are running? Also, when looking at the B14 kit it seems to only go up to MK3 PFL, is the suspension interchangeable between the FL and PFL?

I went for B8s with the Mountune lowering springs, drops 20-25 mm, suspension is firmer but smoother, car sits well and dont have any clearance issues so far, dont have a splitter though
Mines a 3.5 and had no issues fitting, other than the rusted on drop links!!
