Code Red Upgrade

Hi there,

Was just after a bit of advice.

My friend is about to do the right thing and buy an ST.

He's buying it from the Tarnock garage in Bristol and they seem like good guys?!

Question is... they've offered him a free Code:Red 265PS software upgrade if he wants it!

I don't think he planned to do any mods but as they are offering this free he's thinking about it. Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on Code Red.

Worth having?

Cheers, Matt

Tell him to drive it for a few days standard, then have the remap. He won't be dissapointed.

defo tell him to go for the free code:red when hes got it on he wont regret it and as he gets used to the power as you do he will be able to upgrade the map. run code;red myself and have no issues with it at all
. As phil says run the car for say about a week then stick the map on and watch the smile on his face

I ran mine standard for about 6 weeks and although i loved the car it just at times lacked the punch that i used to get from my WRX PPP. Code Red installed and its a totally different story. Still love the car but now it goes like
And the fuel consumption has improved for some reason

Tarnock Garage are a very good bunch.

Rambo goes there whenever he needs the car doctor.

Definitely get the remap if it's free. However, don't forget that your buddy will need to declare it to his insurance company as a "modification".

This may well affect his premium.

Worth checking before getting the remap.

That said, the ST is a wonderful car even when it's standard. He won't be disappointed whatever he decides.
