I take it this is a common problem, but has anyone actually managed to fix it? I've had the spring off today and the squeak is still there so its coming from the pedal its self, its driving me mad. please help lol

Try some silicone spray

Done all that mate, I cant work out where its coming from, it definitely not the spring
