Hi I was just wondering if I could have the carbon surround (the same as facelift and RS) on my pre facelift ST?

I have the older Sony headunit and DEATC climate control..

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great!!

Yip, it's a radio out job then unscrew and unclip the panel from the dash.

I actually got the carbon film given to me but I believe it was purchased from here, they also do real carbon fibre sheets but a bit more expensive. Heat it gently with a hairdryer and it becomes very pliable for those tight corners.

Just used a hairdryer, cut the film from the outside of the hole to the centre at 1cm intervals then push the excess through, gently heating as you go and stick it to the back of the panel. Not as hard as you think really. On another note, I've since fitted an Alpine touch screen and f

Well strangely enough i didnt buy a new h/u from fords good old ebay for a fraction of the cost, otherwise it would have not been feasable to do this, now as most of my parts are from ebay at v.low prices im sure this can be done for alot less! My headunit cost me £230 pounds which I think is an absolute bargain for a ford head unit with sat nav!! So as for spending hundreds of pounds its just a case of looking about!!!!!
