Car Seat / Booster Seat For St3

Hi,

I need to purchase a 3+ car seat and am struggling to find one which will comfortably fit the rear sculptured seats in the ST3.
I would ideally like an ISOFIX seat so that it is permanently held securely in place. I tried two tonight at a local mothercare and when they were fit using the ISOFIX connectors, the back of the seat covered up the seatbelt clip and the belt wouldn't fasten.

I have read a couple of posts talking about the "Recaro Monza Seatfix" http://tinyurl.com/yekqclk and wondered whether these fit well in the ST3?

If anyone can recommend a seat they actually use in the back of an ST3 I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Sean.

ps - apologies if this has been covered lots, but I have searched and only found a couple of posts from 18 months ago

Hi Seany

I'm feeling your pain mate, I had exactly the same problem myself a few months ago. I've got the ST3 too and really struggled to find one that fit properly.

In the end I gave up and just went for the seat I would have gone for had I not had nice leather Recaros
.

It doesn't fit properly but it's dead easy to take in and out as and when I need it and really lightweight.. (I do only use mine one or two days a week though) so it just bounces around in the boot until I need it. I just pop a towel or blanket down underneath it when i put it in and that helps stop the seat being marked.

I know it's not the perfect solution but i just ended up resorting to it anyway!

I have an ST2 and struggle with my lads booster seat. He has a Graco one and it doesnt fit snugly and he struggles to put his seat belt in we have to push the seat over to the side while he is sat in it, but once he is strapped in its fine. He is not allowed in the front as the seat just does not fit and it marks the seat even tho its fabric. Car seats are so expensive so im not changing as hopefully he wont be in his for much longer.

Have the same, the seat base is very narrow and leans in corners in my ST2, however would prob be a perfect fit in the sculptured seats.

i take it yours sint isofix then?
Not got the isofix base, but have the mounts.
i've solved the leaning prob by remembering my sons in the car an not go round corners like a loon!
lol

the isofix would sort it

dont know if it can be fitted to a non isofix carseat

Thanks everyone for your help - I will go and give the ISOFIX recaro monza a try.

However, I forgot to mention the other really important feature - it has to be available in PINK lol!!

I notice the recaro monza doesn't come in pink so I may be saved from that eyesore and be forced to get black, although have you tried to explain to a 3.5 year old girl that pink isn't availabile in a style that fits the car - especially when her best friend has a pink one
!!!

Thanks again
