Hi guys,

I have 2010 st-3 that has started behaving odd

The car appears to be over boosting and cutting the power. Car has full stage 3 mods and have just changed the boost selinod to a IPD unit.

The car has also had a standard map but on as I've sent my DS unit away to have mod x put on

Symptoms are

Car is very judderey on boost, like its citing power every couple of seconds

It struggles to pass 80 mph
Car still boasting into the red on the boost gauge then aggressively cutting back the power

Has the car since June with no problems till now, no fault codes and plugs changed last week to RS ones

Any ideas guys?

Thanks

Damo

Maybe solenoid plumbed incorrectly?

If the boost cannot be controlled by ECU it will shut the throttle for you, all of a sudden.

Cheers will check it out. Changed to an IPD as mine standard one was on its way! Proberly my luck to get a duff IPD unit lol

If it has been plumed incorrectly will it do any damage?! I didn't fit it a so called ST expert did.

I certainly wouldn't be booting it if it is plumbed in incorrect mate. I'd be surprised though if it was fitted by a specialist.
It is not unheard of to get a faulty IPD

EDIT: Did the specialist or yourself do the recommended running in procedure for the IPD solenoid?

I followed the running in procedure mate. Haven't booted it since I discovered the issue.

Will check its plumed in correctly first and go from there.
