Boot Release Button

I expect im being a bit thick but there isn't a release button on the dash as there is in the MK1.

Or am i missing something ?

no there isn't, just use the button on your key

Same here as the wife would walk up to the back of the car with the shopping and i would just press the button and stay sat in the warm.

Or the button above the rear number plate........
You dont need one, there is an electric switch under the boot lip.. so if you are stood there, you can open it
