I like many had the Ford Pass app notifying me the car had gone into sleep mode and the stop/start not available, although thats a good thing, saves me turning it off. Never had a flat battery though.
There is a reset procedure that worked on both our ST’s Puma and Focus. Ford techs seen clueless about this or any other fix for the issue.
Turn on ignition, don’t start it
Turn on headlights, not auto position.
Flash the main beam 5 times
Press the brake pedal 3 times
Wait while watching the red battery symbol, after about 20 seconds it will flash notifying you the reset is complete. Turn off the ignition.
On next run , both stop/start systems were working, Puma hadn’t worked since last year and Ford tech did the usual bull**** fob off. Also not had a sleep mode notification since. This might also fix other under voltage problems with lights and infotainment. Worth a try.
