Bailey Dv Chirp

I fitted a Baileys DV yesterday (what a
to fit) and drove it this morning what i thought was a budgie under the bonnet?

When lifting off the gas it chirps but when on full boost (remapped car) it does sound good - do all other DVs give the budgie chirp?

Might have to swap the dv if i can get a proper sounding 1

Yep,mine sounds like that when driving normally, sounds a lot better under full boost tho.

I did have the collins DV on before and IMO it sounded better than the Bailey, however kept giving me ESP fault problems

It's all down to personal preference at the end of the day dude

well is it a common problem with the collin's 1 having esp faults?
Nope not just Collins.... My Forge one does it.
Seems to be the luck of the draw....
May be something to do with the strength of the internal springs controlling the pistons..... then again maybe not!

Have you tried different springs in your Forge? a kit with 4 springs is only £10 or so from Forge

I went for Baileys as reports said no faults come up which seems to be true, wonder if the twin trumpet (pumabuild?) would be better?
I didnt know that.... i'll give em a ring!
Cheers Robby
i had a baileys and a collins (pumabuilds) and i personally didnt like them, but the collins did sound better. i know what you mean about the baileys chirping, was embarresed driving the car when it was on

i thought you were selling up? i dont recall hearing any budgies living under the bonnet either
the only reason i removed it was i decided i was to old to be frightening little old ladies as i went past, on the other hand the tea was always on the table when i walked in as the wife could hear me coming down the street

Well i've had a trader wanting to buy it and i'd decided on a MK3 Golf Gti for a runabout but after trying to find a "good un" and seeing the mint/ excellent cars looking like dogs in the daylight i've decided to stick with it for a while

The dv does sound good when on full boost (proper noise) but chirps on low boost
- i'm looking for a DS CAI so that should help with the noise side of things

I tried different springs in my DV007p which i had on a remapped Audi TT (approx 285bhp) - the stronger springs were supposed to hold the boost better but tbh i couldn't tell as i don't drive as hard as most people

This is the kit - http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.a...product=FMDVTUN but the price has gone up a bit

Ive got the Baileys DV and i really like it. Had one on my Subaru and it souned more whooooshie.

But i do like the chirp this gives. Always wanted a BOV and this is the closest i can get

I was considering a DV until I put the DS indduction kit on. It's loud enough for me and I get some awesome chatter
