Make sure you drop radiator craddle as this will give you more room to get CAIS in without damaging it.
And getting original airbox out.
And enjoy

As clive said drop the rad from it's cradle, I found i was impossible to do it with dropping the rad.
This might help also...

Thanks guys.

All done in about 2.5 hours, runs a lots better, I now get a bang out the exhaust more frequently than before almost on every gear change with a blip on the gas between changes, childish I know but I can't help but smile.

However when its damp/wet out there it wants to still spin in forth and a hint in fifth MAD!!!

Yep, I get the same thing just the time of year mate! I've just taken delivery of my DS unit, popped DSci on and it just spins and spins! Need to change to a more "wet friendly" map me thinks!

Good choice on the CAIS, I have the same one, and love it!

Yeh, I went for the one in electric orange and black c/w orange hoses, looks well,

How do you find the airtech IC? See I have the 11 row IC like you probably did and not sure if I will gain anything, also the RS is fitted with the same one and that feeds a bigger turbo

I have just received one of these in the post with the stainless ECU cover
. Got a great deal from Autospecialists £280 delivered for both. Looks great quality. I have one question. My car is due a service next month so will need an oil and filter change, when you have a cais fitted does this cover the access for the oil filter. If so I think I will hold off fitting it until I get the service done.

Apparently it does obscure the filter, but I did read in one of the forums, because its fairly easy to remove Ford would normally carry out the service without any quibble, probably best asking first though

Cheers for confirming that, think I will wait a couple of weeks until after my service to save any hassle....

I fitted my airtec in the heat of summer, you can probably remember the day! When I ran the car with it fitted in the heat it was awesome, as I know the car got kinda sluggish beforehand. If I was you I'd wait until summer and see if you have any issues with power loss. If not then don't bother. It does look good though behind my bumper!

The RS intercooler is not the same as the st.

Airtec intercooler gen3 is the dogs bo**ocks mate a must.

Great quailty intercooler and great performance all this at a brilliant price.

Im running a gen3 and running 296bhp and 374lb/ft.

Cheers
