One more stupid question is Left hand the near side and right hand the off side??

Why the hell Ford don’t use N/S and O/S is beyond me 🤷🏼‍♂️

Left and Right is always Left and Right but N/S and O/S changes for Left and Right Hand Drive.
It's always viewed from the driver's perspective.

Nearside or offside is the side of the car nearest to the kerb - when viewed from the drivers seat. Hence for a right hand drive car the right side is nearest the kerb hence is the nearside. The left side of the car is furthest from the kerb hence is the offside. As Alb says this swaps around for those strange people driving on the wrong side of the road.
