After our journey to Holland last month, it was time to head to Ramstein, Germany to visit friends.

With my epic fear of flying and my epic love of driving, it was no choice which mode of transport we took again!!!

On the way out, it took just 55 mins to get to the Eurotunnel and from the other end, we were on their doortep within 4.5 hours!!

The autobahns as you enter Germany from Belgium are amazing!!! We were able to "stretch her legs" for a good 30 miles

Fuel consumption? 300 to a full tank - ish... Total journey was about 740 miles. The roads were superb and I enjoyed every minute of driving!

Looking forward to our next Euro-trip next month when we head back there again!

Oh and I just checked the clock.. picked up the car mid August 2009 and have just clocked over 10,000 miles on her since we collected her!

14 weeks of ownership which works out at 714 per week on average or 102 per day lol!!! But we have LOVED every minute of it!

TBH... I normally share the driving on treks like that, but it felt good under my foot and I just wanted to savour the experience...

How very true... I glanced at the speedo, looked across at Laura and she was reading a book, so I welded it that little bit more!!

I stopped looking over at the speedo after the 'leg stretch' on Friday!!! Just didn't want to know to be fair lol.
