So Ive been running some data logs recently on my car to check how things are running.
Ive been particularly interested in charge intake temperatures (after intercooler) while WOT especially.
I decided to disable the AGS to see what difference, if any it made. My first test has shown a drop of 18c
More test runs needed, but seems a very good free mod!
Active Grill Shutter. Looks like a Venetian blind in front of your intercooler and radiator.
It shuts between 14mph to 80mph (I believe) to decrease air flow drag and improve mpg. It also opens when the coolants gets to a certain temp, around 94c I think
To be honest I didnt think the mk2 had anything like this system. When I changed the intercooler on my old mk2 there were no shutters in front that I saw
Oh, no, they're in the fan shroud at the rear on mk2.
