Hi all,
Recently replaced my actuator with a Turbosmart item, as old one was knackered and causing overboost and limp issues. Now, I no longer have the limp issue but occasionally I’m still getting overboost spikes (mostly in third). I assume I probably need to put a weaker spring in the actuator, but which colour? Running CP320 atm. I should add that the boost solenoid has been changed twice since this new issue has started happening.

Tbh not sure, garage (well respected ST specialist) installed it for me. I assume it has whatever spring it came with in it.

Ordered a 3psi spring and will set the preload to about 4.5 psi. Does this seem right?

If you are running a Collins map I would double check with them as a lot of their maps are a bit twitchy when running none OEM parts such as actuators etc. They design them with the OEM items & anything none OEM can sometimes cause issues. So might be worth a quick call to them?
