Abs Module? Yeah Right...

hey all, just thought id let ya all know about my last 3weeks.it started with my alterntor packing up 11.30am sun 1st november, got local ford garage on the ball monday morning, part was as per usual out of stock but got ordered and had it installed by 10am wed morning so was impressed with that!! then last week my ESP light came on then engine management light came on so back to ford, they plugged it into computer and came up that ABS module had failed. Got the car home after a couple of days wondering whether to spend £1000 on module or not, decided to double check the fuse. Checked KAM fuse, it was ok, found fuse number 35 was blown (engine management). Chatted with Ford, they reckoned the fuse blown due to battery being low and not being charged after alternator replacement.

Just thought I'd let you guys know and save you being ripped off for a module when its just a fuse.

car is march 06 st-3

It's sound advice, any electrical issue check those fuses first

i thought they would check the fuses 1st, i got my girlfriend to drop the car off to them last friday morning on her way to go shoppin and its not like she was gunna b back quick so they had hours to look at it!
looks like they took the easy way round it and let the computer do all the work.
I hope thats not the issue with several peeps I know having these abs modules changed for no reason???

VERY expensive fuse if it is.
