Hi guys,

Started my car last night and on idle thr revs were hunting very slightly. Seemed fine when warm.

Anyone experienced this if so what was the cause?

Has your car been remapped, or have any mods to the Air Intake system ?

Nope all standard with genuine Ford filter. Air and fuel filter recently replaced. Genuine ford.

Mine has been doing this recently.
I’ve been suspecting a partially blocked Vaporizer as it seems to be regenerating more often. I noticed any time I pull up at home that the idle hunts ever so slightly and my exhaust temp gauge sits over 300c. If I let it sit idling the engine note eventually quietens and the exhaust temp falls.
I checked the Vaporizer fuel line with a vacuum line and it holds some vacuum so it’s partially blocked.
Just waiting for time to attempt to remove it and check it out.

The EcoBoost engine can have a lumpy idle, it tries to balance power requirements with economy and find the right revs in order to do that.

Apologies, really should look which section posts are in... I would imagine the diesel version would have the same sort of 'energy saving' systems though.
