1980 (V Reg) Mk1 Fiesta 950cc in Signal Yellow with brown interior, the most basic spec available, which I brought in 1991.
Suffice to say it didn't stay that way for too long, and gradually got upgraded with lots of Mk1 XR2 parts, interior, bodykit, bumpers, brakes, suspension, pepper pot alloys, and 1300cc engine.
Many happy memories of this car, put 40-50k miles on it before eventually upgrading to a real Mk1 XR2 and handing over the yellow one to my mum, who also had several years service out of it.
Shame I didn't keep hold of the XR2, would be worth as much as my 2015 ST-2 by now.

Here we go, my only picture of them both, excuse the grainy picture, these were the days before digital cameras.

2.8 Capri, they were nice cars (They did a few special edition ones if I remember correctly) and definitely had a habit of going sideways, especially with 2.8 power. My uncle had several 2.8i Granada's, they all went well, so can imagine the Capri was a good fun car.
Trading my XR2 was probably one of my worst car decisions, but after having my 1st kid I needed a car with a bigger boot, so traded it for a Mk3 XR3i, was a nice blue colour and had a quad headlamp setup which made it look a bit different, but it was a complete heap of s***, more filler than metal, and an engine which had seen better days, so that one didn't last long.
All my personal cars have been Ford, my current Focus ST is my 1st privately owned Ford for 20 years though, been in various Company Cars over the last 20 years, a few have been Ford.

Back in the 90's my ultimate Ford would have been a Magenta Sapphire Cosworth 4x4, would still have one today if I had somewhere to store it, although a decent one is mortgage money these days.
