They say Bristol is one of the greenest cities in the UK, but the roads are so bad you can't go anywhere comfortably.
I've just had a 4 wheel alignment done, passenger side was 1.5mm out on toe, the suspension settling wasn't an issue as I thought, only had it done 5 months ago, and have covered only a few thousand miles, but destroyed the F/N/S tyre.

I remember back to 2007 when I had a(2002) Volvo S40 and the next years tax was going up to around £240 and it was enough to make me want to change cars...so i did.
From 2012 onwards I have been fortunate enough to buy brand new cars, and from 2017 onwards I refuse to buy any car with a list price of over £40k.
Complete rip off with no reasonable justification whatsovever!

I wish I was able to afford to be able to refuse to do that

Same here, although there isn't really anything I'd want to buy, but having the money certainly would be nice

What I don't understand is that you can own a BMW 320d with £30 year tax, cover 30.000 miles a year pumping out
into the atmosphere, but own a 2.5, 5 cylinder petrol Focus, cover not even 3,000 miles a year and pay £330....

Yeah I think put the tax on fuel would be fairer...but then again there are the increasing number of electric cars...I don't know...any suggestions?

Fuel duty is already 75%, might as well push it to 85%, the good old British motorists are mug enough to swallow it. 🤪
