I daily mine and can honestly say it's been perfectly reliable. It's all down to how it's been looked after by previous owners and how you care for it.
In my opinion there's no such thing as a cheap st, you'll either buy a good one or pay through the nose fixing a cheap one.
Don't buy a 2-2.5k st and expect it to be happily ever after. Yes you could get lucky and there are plenty of people on FB that claim they bought one for buttons and had no issues, but they forget you can see all of their posts of problems.

Cheers caprixpack. How much do I need to be spending for a decent one, around £6k?
I've noticed the ones sold by dealers seem to be overpriced compared to the asking price of private sellers.
