Hi had insurance quote but they mentioned odd lock? was given a price how much where they again?

Old or Odd lock? Do you mean an OBD port lock? In my experience they are either easy to remove or bypass or look like monstrous lumps of metal hanging from your dashboard! If it is anything like the MK2's you are much better to simply move it somewhere hidden or take out the fuse supplying power to it. Or buy one of the wiring kits to cross the wires on the OBD port and hopefully wire it up to a 2,000 volt capacitor to fry the arms off any thieving scrote trying to steal the car!!

Were they making an OBD Lock a condition of insurance?

yep was told I would not be accepted unless one was fitted.
