Just do it, doesn't have to be a meet anywhere, driving through France down to the Med or the Pyrenees is  :censored: brilliant.

Yes I did it many times(years) while working around Gratz,Cannes,Nice,Montecarlo,in my pug 205 never a problem,always took the scenic route down and motorway at Marseilles home (one road),love driving on the containentant ,,I can relax and appreciate the scenery more than I can in this country lol,strange that the roads in the lower end of the alps are so much better than ours,especially when you use the top road(as in The Italian Job) into the south.Amazing views,freaky for the passenger,only comparison was driving Paradise valley in Moorocco(I no there are worse roads

I don't think the French have embraced the the ST like the UK, I've seen a few UK reg cars around Normandy and Brittany but nothing south of Loire. Plenty of thumbs up from French guys driving other makes but no ST's.

I'd have thought that Nürburg was the most common location for a European meet.

Hey Gareth, we (South Wales region) have talked about doing a run through Europe, on our way to the Ring over the past year or so. I'm trying to get as much info as I can, to help organise something, maybe for next year but i'm still at the info gathering stage at the mo, i;e best routes, hotels, times of year, costs, number of possible attendee's etc any info you got mate, bring it to the next meet if you can, i'm a novice with European routes, so any experiences that can be passed on, will be gratefully excepted :thumbsup:

I'd be very interested,obviously a trip like that would need planning -maybe 18 months,and be about 8-10 days long.Not everyone would take that time off but it would be a great experience

@GRP

I am organising a trip to the Nürburgring for the German annual RS/ST owners meet on sat 13th July 2019 with a ford
Cologne plant tour and visit to their classic car garage too, we did this in 2018 and it was enjoyed by all.

I did this last year and we had representation from each of the sister clubs
1 MondeoST estate went
2 Fiestas both Mountune
1 tango orange ST

Why not register on the RS site and follow this thread

I don't want to be jumping between sites if at all possible.

Alternatively if someone here wants to coordinate FSTs and lease with me.

I have already compiled a lot of what you would need for a Nürburgring trip over on the RS forum.

I quite like the sound of that,I'll have to talk to the wife because she likes to go to the cottage in Brittany,I plan on getting new standard suspension and bushes,plus Ford Fair,so I'll be back working 12hours and 7days a week.Which would be quicker ferry or euro tunnel?,plus hotels
