This is one for someone who has actually been before and done tracktime.

What does it mean by "tape headlights"?

Also anyone got a clue as to where my towing eye would be? I dont have a spare wheel :(

I don't know why it's needed as its not going to do much in the unlikely event of an accident, but just a couple of strips from corner to corner will suffice just incase there is a jobs worth Marshall that can stop you going on track and having to run around the pit lane asking for some.

What actually is the purpose of the tape then?

If anything was to happen on track and the light/lens was to come out or crack then the tape could possibly hold it together better. Could even hold the lens in the headlight I suppose too so it would never fall out.

But at a guess it's to limit the amount of debris on the track.

Incase a stone gets kick up and breaks your headlight,  it will help keep it held in place and keep it off the track.

I dont want to sound totally stupid. I take it I have to completely cover the headlight then?

Just a cross pattern will be more than enough

I used blue detailers tape that I picked up from a stand last year. Doesn't leave marks
