Hope I'm not covering old ground here - but can anyone tell me what the three square holes between the heated windscreen/tailgate switches are there for ('08 ST-3 facelift)?
Nothing in the manual as far as I can see!
Also - are all the Recarro seats rubbish at returning to their start position once you let someone in/out of the back seat? Mine seem to randomly reset themselves each time.
Just curious!

With the seats when you put the lever to move them forward make sure the back of the seat locks forward. When you want to return them side the base backwards and then pull the lever to release the back of the seat. It will then be in the same place as it was before you moved it.
No idea what the holes in between the heater switches are.

does your car have climate control, if so i'd guess the holes are for monitoring that

They are to vent heat from the power boost button

I have those holes and do not have climate control. I would guess they are just a standard shape and have the sensors behind them if you need them so it looks the same on all ST's

Not a problem on cars without climate control. Took that part of mine apart when fitting bluetooth unit and I can assure you that there's nothing behind those holes. In fact, the rear of the switches is a brilliant place to stash handsfree control units.

Oh I dunno then, I was always under the impression that it was a sensor or somthing behind that to control the temperature in the car..

There probably is a sensor fitted there but only if you have the dual air conditioning controls, as it monitors the internal temperature of the car. I'm sure I've read that in a manual somewhere anyway
