On the face lift what is the score on the I-pod conection, is it standard and how does it work, where can i find it ? Going to view a 09 ST3 in the morning and could do with a few clues.

Ideas of anything else to look for would be gratefully recieved 8)

The USB connect is an option I'm afraid :(

It's under the drivers armrest in a wee storage space. There is a cradle for your iPod/iPhone and a USB port and 3.5mm jack. You need to use both the iPod connect/charge cable and the 3.5mm cable (Goes into the headphone port on your iPod)

Ford or Teamtorquesteer do an all in one cable for a reasonable price (£30) to keep it nice and neat :) USB CONNECT LINK (TTS)

Not sure if it was standard but a lot of them have them, think it was an option combined with the bluetooth (I may be wrong here but someone will confirm)

It will be located in the in the arm rest along with the AUX in. You need to use both the AUX and USB to connect an Ipod properly.

I know this topic is kinda old, but I'm debating whether to get a facelift or pre-facelift.

One thing I love about the pre-facelift is the speedo, where it goes up in 10's. Since it was said that the speedo clock was changed, has this changed?

Cheers.

What about the facelift having plasma-lined cylinders that can take a hell of alot more bhp than the weak prefacelift ones that can crack with 300+ bhp? Surely that HAS to be mentioned :-/

For someone looking to buy a facelift ST but struggling to find a low-mileage example for decent money, this thread is a big help but other than aesthetics is there any advantage to buying a facelift?
