The facelift came out in March 08 on an 08 plate.Quite a few changes to be honest the more obvious ones being every panel except the roof is different from pre facelift, new alloys, revised dash, console and speedo clock, start button standard.

Guys

Please confirm, I understand that the interior specs are slightly better and the exterior has many changes but are engine, exhaust, suspension etc the same?

Can I fit some second hand tuning parts eg Dreamscience, Bluefin, de-cat, CAIS etc from an '06 or '07 model onto a face lifted '08 model without any issues?

Cheers
Gar

Does the start/stop button come as standard for all facelift models or is this an extra?

Am I right in thinking only the new 09 models have Climate Control? The dash has standard cold to hot dials on previous models but the 09 models seem to have Electronic Climate Control.

Anyone shed some light on this?

The climate control (DEATC) was an optional extra. Only the current 2010 spec ST3 has it as standard.

Having picked up my second ST-2 on Monday here are some of the observations that I have not seen mentioned.

1) The new version has a much better turning circle than the old version. I can't say that enough times, it makes a big difference.
2) When on full left lock, after reversing off my drive, I don't get the clonk noise when I turn to set of. It sounding like a drive shaft issue, but this has been fixed.
4) The new version has slightly different positions for the foot pedals. My wife no longer has to wear boots to drive it.
5) The suspension seems softer - not much but it's not as harsh as it was. Much easier to live with for passengers.
6) The car seems to sit lower and handles corners even better but I have not pushed it yet.

The whole car seems to have grown up a bit, is looks slicker, has some nice toys but has not lost that star quality that makes it an ST.

I'm still doing the running in stage, so mpg and performance will need more time to observe. I'll update this post after that.

I hope this helps.

Hadnt hear of any differences in foot pedals, suspension, lower road clearence, smaller turning circle.

Has anyone read anything about these? Wikipedia and a couple of other websites i checked, mention that the main differences of the facelift are the interior (trim, clocks, etc) and the exterior body.

The facelift lights show as 4 lights and the top 2 change to orange when indicating, they are available to buy but as afar as I am aware it is not a straight swap.

If you Posted Image there is a how to.
