When will this come into effect? are all of those items going to be standard on the car?

Sounds to me like they're making more toys standard to keep interest in the model as it gets towards run-out when the next generation Focus comes out.

It's always a sign a model is getting near the end of it's production run when Ford start to add all the extras on as standard fitment.

I think the ST.gif 3 should have had DEACT on as standard from day one.

From production start date of 02/11/2009.

And yes all the above now standard.

A couple of options have now been deleted from the ST range as well. You will no longer be able to spec these from 02/11/2009.

6 disc cd changer for advanced touchscreen DVD nav .
ST visability pack
DEATC on ST 2
Keyless entry on ST2
Privacy Glass on ST2

It's interesting how different people consider different things as "essential". I HATE climate control with a passion; I just could not get on with it in any of the cars I've had where it has been fitted. I much prefer a nice big button marked "A/C" that I can press if I want cold air......

I appreciate that DEATC isn't a hard thing to master, but I just don't like it. Different strokes for different folks I guess.....

The black alloys would also have put me off buying the car if they had been standard at the time.

My ST-3 already has auto-dimming mirror, auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers - presumably they were not standard at the time?

Interesting - as rain-sensing wipers is also something that I could happily do without.

There's no pleasing some people is there!! lol.gif

I agree that some of the older climate control systems, like on my ST170, were not the best. But I love the DEACT on my ST.gif 3.

I've got the Auto wipers on mine. Can't really see the point of them. How difficult is it to work out when to put the wipers on yourself? lol.gif

The only changes I can see are new 1.6 109ps TDCi stage 5 engine introduced to Zetec S line up,

Estate introduced,

Ford Power (Start) button now standard

Alloy-finish gear censored.gif added.

thats it !. These again will not take effect until November build.
